Dante Ruben was born on the 7 May 1962 in Cape Town. After returning from South West Africa in 1985, she decided to settle in Cape Town. She was tutored by Artist Don Benzien in the late 80's and early 90's. Influenced by many styles through the years she became an accomplished landscape artist and painted part time between being house wife and mother.
As from the year 2000 she had several exhibitions in Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria and her work is found worldwide.
Dante currently resides in the coastal town of the Overberg and paints where many of South Africa's finest artists painted namely, Gregoire Boonzaier, Marjorie Wallace and Maggie Laubscher. After a few lessons from Hennie Niemann and Dale Elliot her painting style developed to where it is now.
